Patient education: At BOUNDLESS, we are committed to transparent, unbiased, informative, and comprehensible sharing of the regenerative world and research as it happens with our valued patients.
Over the last year, an information/misinformation war has reached new heights in the regenerative medicine field. Inflammatory, fear-mongering media articles in major publications stood head-to-head against one-sided advertisements from stem cell clinics/factories, making it difficult for you, the patient, to know which treatments are worth investing in, and which are a scam.
This year we will be stepping up our efforts to make key research studies available in plain English on our website. We also will be sending out monthly research updates to keep our patients at the forefront of knowledge.
And to continue our tradition of community outreach, Dr. Bunyak will be leading informal patient education roundtables in her office and giving formal lectures around the community.
Join Dr. Bunyak at her office on Thursday, March 8, from 11-11:45 a.m. for the first patient roundtable, “Know Your Knees: Keeping them In Shape for All Your Pursuits.” The gathering is free (bring a friend!), but RSVP is required: (760) 632-1090 or firstname.lastname@example.org. And Dr. Bunyak invites you to email us your questions and ideas for future roundtable topics.
Her first formal talk of the year will occur in March for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute: “Regenerative Medicine Now: The Latest Research and What It Means for You.” Wednesday, March 21, 1-3 p.m., Stagecoach Community Center, Carlsbad, ($15, plus Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Member Fee of $25). http://csusm.edu/el/olli or 1-800-500-9377.
